I just returned from a trip to the Yucatan Peninsula and to my surprise, this month’s Turntable Kitchen Pairings Box brought some very similar flavors! Turntable Kitchen’s Pairings Box is a great way to discover new flavors and enjoy a beautiful night of artisan food and music, curated specifically for you!

Turntable Kitchen: December South American Themed Cocktail Party

Hand-Pressed Record: The Night VI, “Heroine” and “Drifter”

These songs tug at your soul. Here’s what Turntable Kitchen has to say about them:

“Hot-as-fire singles that established their knack for elegant, understated performances and timeless, evocative songwriting. This band is on fire.”

My record is hand labeled.

Premium Ingredient: Aji Amarillo

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

A staple of Peruvian cusine, aji amarillo, or aji pepper is hard to find in the U.S. Fruity and smoky, this pepper is quite spicy so use caution! Add to stews, meats and seafood.

Recipes:

1. Chicken Empanadas with Aji Pepper and Raisins

2. Peruvian-Style Ceviche with Aji Pepper

3. Pisco del Sol

My pairings box also includes a card with instructions on how to download this month’s digital mixtape.

I love receiving such awesome recipes and music each month. Try Turntable Kitchen’s Pairings Box for yourself!
