4 Benefits of Drinking Iced Tea

I like iced tea way more than drinking water. I have quite a few reusable pitchers that are continuously brewing iced tea for me to enjoy.  Fortunately, iced tea also comes with quite a few health benefits, making it a great alternative to water compared to coffee, sugary juices or sodas. The temperature of the tea doesn’t impact the benefits, so feel free to enjoy your tea hot or iced.

It takes about 5 hours of non-hands-on watching, so great for cooking on a lazy Sunday afternoon.

The amount of effort to make 5 bulbs of garlic is the same as cooking 1 bulb, so cook as many as you’d like. If you don’t have time to peel the garlic now, it keeps well in the fridge and will be even easier to peel once it’s cold. Continue reading

Playa Gigante, Nicaragua

Just returned from my honeymoon in Nicaragua! A non-traditional honeymoon destination, I went on this trip seeking peace and relaxation.??????????????????????

Landing in Managua reminded me of landing anywhere in Mexico, with lots of green trees and patches of farmland. It also looked just like Belize, where I spent the last summer on an archaeological project. The trees looked the same but in Belize the locals speak English, not Spanish. I hoped I could remember enough Spanish to get by. Continue reading
