4 Benefits of Drinking Iced Tea

I like iced tea way more than drinking water. I have quite a few reusable pitchers that are continuously brewing iced tea for me to enjoy.  Fortunately, iced tea also comes with quite a few health benefits, making it a great alternative to water compared to coffee, sugary juices or sodas. The temperature of the tea doesn’t impact the benefits, so feel free to enjoy your tea hot or iced.

4 Health Benefits of Drinking Iced Tea

1. Health

Tea contains vitamins, minerals, amino acids and antioxidants. These all benefit your body and give you en edge over water.

2. Immune Enhancement

Tea enhances your immune system and helps your body function better. Studies have shown tea can also helps with avoiding Parkinson’s or Alzheimer’s diseases.

3. Hydration

Drinking water with additives like fruit or tea makes it easier for your body to absorb the water you drink. By drinking iced tea, you are hydrating your body faster than with water.

4. Low Calorie Alternative

Unsweetened tea has way fewer calories than soda or a cafe latte.

Avoiding sugar in your iced tea is important if you are drinking as much tea as you would water.

My favorite kinds of tea are matcha green tea, and black chai. What are some of your favorites?
