I love archaeology, but I didn’t know my beagle did also! When I visited Wawawai Canyon Park recently, we stumbled across some ancient ruins left by Paleo-Indians on the Snake River.
After going for a nice walk around the water, we found a trail that led into the forest that looked more like a jungle than a patch of trees. In this location, there were massive trees with enormous leaves and an archaeological ruin!
Shiloh jumped right up an enjoyed the view from the ancient spot. This was previously a gathering and meeting point for peoples who lived here a few thousand years ago.
Quite well preserved, it had been professionally excavated and maintained. I participated in this process in Belize.
Archaeology dog; he loved it!
