Followed Tree: A Quaking Aspen

Recently, I shared that we’re following a tree as a way to get closer to nature, stay in tune with the seasons and watch the world grow! I wanted to share the tree that we’ll be following over the next year. After careful research, I am pretty sure this tree is a Quaking Aspen, which are common in Eastern Washington and grow in valleys. I found this in the lower valley of the Magpie Forest, a natural woodland region that’s true to its ancient glory.

A Fellow Wanderlust-er: ‘Travel Junkie: A Badass Guide to Travel’ Book Review

It takes about 5 months for wanderlust to hit me hard after going on a travel excursion, domestic or abroad. Unique and Refreshing Palouse Falls

I could feel the wet moisture in the air as we walked through the basin of the waterfall. I love that you can still feel the wind current of what used to be water in waves in a prehistoric riverbed. Palouse Falls is a special and ancient waterfall that is one of the biggest in the state of Washington. You’d never know it since it’s tucked into a deep canyon and hidden away behind farmland.
