There are many reasons to make your own deodorant, the most important being the certainty of ingredients. Aluminum additives in commercial deodorants are dangerous for your skin so rest assured knowing you’ve made your own! Try to use organic ingredients if possible. Here is a recipe for deodorant for women or men.

Deodorant for Women and Men
Ingredients
Cocoa butter
Coconut oil
Shea butter
Beeswax
Arrowroot powder
Baking soda
Bentonite clay
Optional Essential Oils
A used deodorant container, cleaned out and ready to refill.
Clean out a used deodorant container. You’ll be able to upcycle this until it breaks to keep making your own deodorant.
In a small pot, melt 1 tbsp each of cocoa butter, coconut oil, shea butter, and beeswax over low to medium heat.
Remove from heat and allow to cool. Add 2 tbsps arrowroot powder, 2 tbsps baking soda, and 1 teaspoon of bentonite clay.
Whisk in all the powders.
Add optional essential oils.
Allow it all to cool.
Add the mix to your cleaned out deodorant container. You can put it in the fridge to harden and can store it at room temperature. You won’t need to make more for 2-4 months. Enjoy!
