River rafting in Montana is something everyone should experience once. The rush of the sport and the natural beauty will make you feel like you’re the superstar in a badass nature documentary. I was lucky enough to go on a group excursion a few years back. Here are reasons why you should make a plan to go river rafting in Montana.
5 Reasons to Go River Rafting in Montana
- Conquer Your Fears
River rafting through rapids sounds crazy, but there’s no better way to get over your fears than to show them whose boss! You’ll likely go rafting with a guide who will make sure you stay safe.
- Group Bonding
I went rafting with my business fraternity and it was a pretty fun group bonding experience. Grab some friends and experience some thrills together to bond for life.
- See Some Nature
While rafting down the river, you can see eagles flying above you and deer in the woods. I’ve heard they’ve even seen bears there!
- Amazing Pictures
Hit the rapids and you’ll have some incredible photos of yourself to share with friends and family. The pictures are really awesome and will show you paving your way through class 3 rapids. You can always remember how cool you are.
- Learn New Things
River rafting in Montana is where I learned about the Three Levels of Fun:
The Three Levels of Fun:
Level 1: Regular fun, you enjoy it while it happens and it was fun afterward.
Level 2: It wasn’t fun at the time, but looking back, it was fun afterward.
Level 3: It wasn’t fun when it happened, wasn’t fun afterward, but it makes a GREAT STORY!
If you ever get a chance to go rafting in Montana, I wanna come with! =]

Looks pretty cool, and nice pics. Reason number 6: so you can re-live the movie “River Runs Through It,” (1992, Brad Pitt) which was partly filmed along Montana’s Big Blackfoot River.
You’re so right! That’d be cool to re-enact it!
