Happy Spring! We’re coming into the beautiful season of flowers and new growth! This month’s Turntable Kitchen Pairings Box celebrated the end of winter and the beginning of the new season. It’s called the “The Thawing Out” Collection.
Turntable Kitchen is a unique subscription service that sends curated vinyl records, access to a downloadable mixtape, recipes and a premium ingredient to cook them.
Here’s what was in my pairings box this month:
Turntable Kitchen: March Thawing Out Collection Box
The March Pairings Box theme is: The Thawing Out Collection
Hand-Pressed Record: Lunifred Benjamin: Selections from Autumn Suite for August Minor
This is a unique new blend of folk, psych pop, sax and vocals. I loved the new sound.
Turntable describes it as:
“Benjamin is revolving in a very, very different orbit…Weird, wild and poetic, this self described “Internet porn era” songwriter is able to fuse together his influences to craft something intimate, engaging and unique.”
My record is hand labeled # 68 of 475 created.
Premium Ingredient: Dukkah
Dukkah is an Egyptian spice blend of nuts, seeds and herbs. It smells like it has a hint of cumin. This ingredient was to die for! I opened it up and sprinkled it on popcorn before I could even photograph it!
Recipes:
This month’s box theme is thawing out from a cold winter.
- The Ultimate Grilled Cheese
- Fennel, Apple and Smoked Trout Salad
- Smoky Tomato Soup with Crème Fraiche and Dukkah
My pairings box also includes a card with instructions on how to download this month’s digital mixtape.
I love receiving such awesome recipes and music each month. Try Turntable Kitchen’s Pairings Box for yourself!
