April signifies that we’re a quarter through the year! This month’s Turntable Kitchen Pairings Box celebrated the sea and the land by bringing them together with some delicious tunes and tastes.
Turntable Kitchen is a unique subscription service that sends curated vinyl records, access to a downloadable mixtape, recipes and a premium ingredient to cook them.
Here’s what was in my pairings box this month:
Turntable Kitchen: April Pairings Box By Land and By Sea
Hand-Pressed Record: Speelburg, Kline and Aubrey
These are some beautifully breezy sounds that are perfect for a day at the beach.
Turntable describes it as:
“Concise but grandly arranged and thoughtfully textured, it’s a simmering, low-end steeped r&b groove filled with stirring strings and a choppy, lovingly textured rhythm that calls to mind the likes of experimental producers like Jai Paul or Ben Kahn.”
My record is hand labeled # 42/ 375 created.
Premium Ingredient: Organic Bay Leaves and Turbinado Sugar
This month, I was lucky enough to receive 2 premium ingredients! What a surprise!
Recipes:
This month’s box mixes land and sea perfectly!
1. Smoky Clam Chowder with Potatoes and Spring Onion
2. Garlicky Asparagus with Meyer Lemon
3. Grilled Bourbon Banana Bread with Lemon Marscapone
My pairings box also includes a card with instructions on how to download this month’s digital mixtape.
I love receiving such awesome recipes and music each month. Try Turntable Kitchen’s Pairings Box for yourself!
