Stitch Fix is a subscription-based personal styling service where you fill out an online profile about your preferences and a shipment is sent to you every 1-2 months of 5 hand-picked clothing and accessory items. You try each of them on and have 3 days to decide what you’ll keep. Once you decide, log in and check out for the items and then send the remaining items back.
I received my second Stitch Fix shipment and was a little bit more impressed than my first Fix. Stitch Fix warns you that it may take several fixes for your stylist to understand your style, so I’m still willing to give it a try.
Stitch Fix Review: Fix #2
My first fix had only one shirt I decided to keep and all of the item were way more than I was willing to pay even though I had requested cheaper items on my style profile. This month’s fix paid a little bit more attention and sent me items that were a lot more within-budget.
Here’s what was in my January Stitch Fix:
1. Beau Mesh Knit Fringe Detail Infinity Scarf by Octavia
2. Northridge Cowl Neck Jersey Top by LA Made
3. Cresson Knit Top by Papermoon
4. Abrianna Longsleeve Knit Cardigan by 41Hawthorn
5. Walden Floral Print Zipper Detail Blouse by 41Hawthorn
I decided to keep the Walden Floral Print Zipper Detail Blouse and send the rest back.
Stitch Fix ships via FedEx which I understand because the packages are bulky, but I don’t like that they leave a box with up to $300 worth of clothes (which I haven’t yet paid for) outside my door without even announcing its arrival or making me sign for it. Good thing I was home to pick it up because I would be very uncomfortable leaving this outside my door all day long unattended.
Stitch Fix is exciting and mostly worth it. I probably won’t ever buy every item that comes in my fix, but I like having one or two quality pieces every couple months without having to go pick them out myself.
Try Stitch Fix for yourself!
