My dog spends a lot of time outdoors running in the woods picking up fleas and ticks. He is allergic to fleas and needs to be deodorized regularly to stay clean and pest-free. Here’s a natural dry deodorant for dogs to help keep fleas and ticks away.
DIY Flea and Tick Shampoo for Dogs
3 tbsps arrowroot powder
1 tbsp lavender powder
1 tbsp neem leaf powder
1 tsp rosemary powder
1/2 cup diatomaceous earth, food-grade quality
To Make:
Combine all ingredients in a large bowl. Mix well.
Put into large jar.
Date when you made the product.
To Use:
Lightly apply to your dog’s coat and brush into their hair. Use 4-5 times a week during high flea season. Put your dog outside after you use the powder, the fleas will jump off of their body and you want that to stay outdoors.

This is great! I bet it smells good too. So many dog products are stinky.

Thank you so much for reading! What I like about this is you can actually add almost any natural scent you want so it doesn’t have to smell stinky like those other products. Lavender is the best or repelling fleas and ticks, plus my puppy seems to like it!
